I have now been the minister of Lylesland Parish Church for three years, having been ordained and inducted on 13th November 2008.
I lived in Glasgow before that but I was in fact born in Paisley, although I only stayed in the maternity hospital two days! Having returned here 48 years later, Paisley is now home and it is good to have become part of the Lylesland church family in the south of Paisley.
Why are we here? Someone once said that the church is the only organisation that exists for the benefit of its non-members.
Lylesland Church is situated in the heart of its parish which consists of Lochfield, Hunterhill, Dykebar, Thornly Park and Hawkhead.
Our mission is to be the people of God in this place – making known the love of God in Jesus Christ by word and by action.
