This week, the minister will be at the Church of Scotland "Three years in ministry” conference from lunchtime Monday to lunchtime Wednesday (in Coatbridge!).

 

 

The Thursday Fellowship - all are welcome at the manse on Thursday evenings  at 7 30pm for an informal time of fellowship, including looking at the Bible, discussion, prayer and tea, coffee and cake.  This Thursday we will pick up the story of the Book of Acts after Paul’s third missionary journey (from Acts 21:20)

 

The Guild meet on Monday at 7 15pm, when the Rev E Watson will be our speaker on the last of our projects for this session - A Place for Hope.    All are invited  to join us.

 

The Tuesday Tea-room  is open every Tuesday from 10—11am and is a nice opportunity to get together for a coffee or a tea and a blether.  Do come along!

 

Friendship Circle - this group meets every Thursday afternoon from 2—4pm and  enjoys each others company with a cuppa and a chat.  Everyone is welcome!

 

Congregational Board - the financial statistics for December are available from the medium hall for all members of the Board.

 

PACT (Paisley Action of Churches Together) - this year being the 20th Anniversary of the founding of PACT, an especially good attendance is requested at this year’s Service for Christian Unity.  It will be held  in St Charles Church, Union Street Paisley this afternoon at 3pm.  Clergy and lay people from various local churches will be participating, including our minister.  The principal speaker will be May Nicholson, a Paisley lady who has a wonderful story to tell.

 

Remember the ongoing needs of the Homeless Unit in our parish. There are boxes in each vestibule for regular donations.  

 

Tickets are now available for the Quiz night on Friday 17th February from Sheila Kerr. Could the Fundraising committee meet after the service this morning.

 

Items are now being sought for the March edition of the Newsletter.  Please hand any material to Margaret Lang, or to the office before 5th February.
